Opus #380 Violin designed by Keith Hill, made in 2007
This violin is my first attempt to apply all I have learned to the design of a violin. I waited for 30 years, until I felt I understood how the best of the ancient violin makers thought about violin design, before creating my own. Out of a batch of 5 instruments made on this design, this is the only one that is still unsold. When my first three violins sold within the first 2 weeks of releasing them, I needed to set two aside to be able to compare their sound to the ones in my next batch of violins (ones which I am finishing up right now). That is why I am now ready to sell this violin.
